Where I can help

Practical advice. Useful outcomes.

Five ways to make technology work better for your business. One person who keeps the wider picture in view.

01

Business IT partnership

A known person to help set priorities, coordinate vendors and keep everyday technology decisions moving.

Good for
Owners and office managers who need business-hours triage, vendor follow-through and a monthly check-in.
Not for
Unlimited support, guaranteed response times or a staffed 24/7 helpdesk.

02

Cloud workplace

A more organised Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 environment that people can use with confidence.

Good for
Setup, migrations, joiners and leavers, MFA and baseline account hygiene.
Not for
Enterprise platform operations or a promise of continuous monitoring.

03

Practical modernisation

Replace awkward legacy processes with tools your team can realistically adopt and maintain.

Good for
Office moves, legacy workflows, procurement decisions and evaluating a cloud migration.
Not for
Large transformation programmes or software projects with an undefined scope.

04

Practical AI for small teams

Decide where AI is useful, what should stay private and which small workflow changes are worth trying.

Good for
Tool selection, information guardrails, local AI options and light workflow help.
Not for
AI theatre, autonomous decision guarantees or large model development programmes.

05

Security-aware advisory

Make sensible, risk-aware decisions about access, data and everyday security hygiene.

Good for
PDPO-minded practices, access reviews, account protection and proportionate risk discussions.
Not for
Penetration testing, a security operations centre or compliance certification.

The difference is personal

Not another vendor to manage. Someone to help you make sense of the ones you already have.

A straightforward way forward

Start with what is getting in the way.

01

Tell me the situation.

A messy cloud setup, an office move, a decision nobody owns. Start with the business problem, not a shopping list.

02

Agree what is useful.

We identify the priorities and agree the scope. A focused piece of work or an ongoing advisory relationship, without an open ended support promise.

03

Work through the priorities.

Get practical advice, coordinated vendors and hands-on delivery where it is explicitly included. Keep the next step clear.

Your adviser / Not a ticket queue

Rishi Uttamchandani

Independent technology adviser

BSc (Hons) Cyber Security, First-Class Honours

Plymouth University through HKU SPACE / 2024

Business experience. Technical depth. One accountable person.

I am Rishi Uttamchandani, a Hong Kong technology professional with over 20 years of experience working where business operations and IT meet. I spent many years leading technology for a trading and manufacturing business across Hong Kong and Mainland China, working through legacy systems, cloud migrations and the everyday realities of keeping people productive.

I also co-founded and built Sinosend, a SaaS platform for secure, large file transfers, with hands-on responsibility for its cloud infrastructure, software development and operation. That experience keeps my advice grounded in the choices and constraints of running a business, not just recommending tools.

I hold a First-Class Honours degree in Cyber Security from Plymouth University through HKU SPACE, completed in 2024. Today, through Pentalobe Digital Advisors, I bring that practical and security-aware perspective to small firms in Central and across Hong Kong Island. You work directly with me, with clear scope and honest boundaries.

Honest boundaries

A good fit matters.

Small Central and Hong Kong Island firms. Typically 3 to 30 people, often fewer than 15. A known adviser rather than a support bench.

What I do not do

  • 24/7 managed IT support or guaranteed response SLAs.
  • Penetration testing, SOC services or compliance certification.
  • Commodity computer repair retainers or printer support contracts.
  • Enterprise support benches or unlimited hands-on fixes.

We agree the work before starting. If you need a different kind of provider, that boundary should be clear from the first conversation.

A few useful answers

Clear expectations, from the start.

Is this a managed IT support company?

No. Pentalobe Digital Advisors is a solo advisory practice. You work with Rishi, not a ticket queue or a team of engineers. It is not a replacement for a staffed MSP or a 24/7 helpdesk.

What does an ongoing partnership include?

Business-hours advisory, triage, priorities, vendor coordination and a monthly check-in. Hands-on delivery is separately scoped unless we explicitly agree to include it. There are no published response guarantees.

Can you help with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365?

Yes. This can include setup, migration, access management, MFA and account hygiene. We agree what is needed and what is in scope before starting.

Will you carry out practical work as well as advise?

Hands-on work can be part of a defined engagement. It is not an unlimited repair service, and an advisory retainer does not automatically include every technical fix.

What do you mean by practical AI?

Choosing tools that fit the work, setting sensible boundaries for business information and helping with light workflows. Not a large AI transformation programme or a promise to automate everything.
